CoreBake Beginnings and What’s to Come

The Very First Blog Post

The very first blog post that will probably never be read and soon be forgotten… but I’ll ramble on anyway, just for my own fun.

I have to start by saying it’s quite ironic that I always hated cooking—and baking even more. I always found it so frustrating: you spend hours in the kitchen preparing (the worst part for me!), cooking, baking, serving, tidying… only to eat the food in a fraction of the time it took to make it. What a total waste of time, right?! Yes, I know—some people love cooking, and I truly respect that! It just wasn’t for me. Or so I thought. 😊

Because of this, the idea was to create simple and fairly quick recipes for the basic baked goodies—just as a start—that most households eat and love, both sweet and savoury. The recipes had to be easy enough so that anyone, regardless of experience, could bake them successfully. We don’t want to discourage anyone with complicated recipes that need endless ingredients and multiple stages. We also completely understand—because we live it too—that in this rushing world, the last thing you want is to spend hours in the kitchen while life passes you by. There are so many other fun things you could be doing!

But here’s the thing: if you can make a healthy staple food quickly and easily at home, you’re less tempted to just grab something off the supermarket shelf that almost certainly contains ingredients you’d rather avoid.

We’re constantly working on new recipes, which we’ll keep as simple as possible. Of course, there will also be some more adventurous options for those who love baking and creating beautiful, delicious things.

In future blog posts, I’ll also share thoughts on other aspects of healthy eating and living—but always with the reminder that these are simply my/our choices, way of life, and opinions. “Healthy” can mean very different things depending on age, lifestyle, stage of life, habits, work, beliefs, or religion. And that’s completely OK. As long as it doesn’t hurt anyone, everyone is free to live their life as it pleases them.

And if by some miracle you did read this far—why not try CoreBake and see if you like it?
